Inspiration:  This plant is part of the family Umbelliferae, the same family that carrots, celery and parsley come from. Its a native biennial, prolific through the British Isles and  can be found on roadsides, banks and paths The mass of frothy white flowers in April reminds me that Spring is here and this beautiful plant filled the country church on my wedding day. Cow parsley is attractive to a large number of pollinators from orange-tip butterflies to marmalade hoverflies.  Cow parsley looks very similar to fools parsley, hedge parsley, wild carrot and the poisonous hemlock.
